An iconic road trip between Melbourne and Adelaide including one of the world’s greatest drives, the Great Ocean Road.
This epic drive showcases the stunning, natural beauty of the coastline including the dramatic rock formations of the Twelve Apostle and Loch Ard Gorge before a few days of indulgence in the Barossa Valley.
Day 1 Melbourne
After your flight into Melbourne you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy world class dining and a thriving art scene, then explore eclectic neighbourhoods and the beaches of St Kilda, just a tram ride away.
Day 2 Apollo Bay (187 kms)
Your Great Ocean Road drive starts today as you head for Apollo Bay, which sits tucked into the foothills of the Otway Ranges.
Day 3 Port Fairy (189 kms)
Created by continual erosion and the mighty force of the Southern Ocean, the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge are sights to behold. Between November and March as dusk falls, you’ll also see Short-tailed Shearwaters arriving in vast numbers, to breed.
Day 4 Mount Gambier (154 kms)
Cross the border into South Australia. Mount Gambier is well known for its geographical topography, particularly its volcanic and limestone features.
Days 5-6 Barossa Valley (439 kms)
Enjoy 2 nights in the Barossa Valley, where vine-clad hills surround quaint country towns and some of Australia’s finest vineyards all wait to be explored.
