Day 1 - ARRIVE ADELAIDE
Arrive into Adelaide and take your private transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day is free to explore the “City of Churches”.

Day 2 - BAROSSA VALLEY
Today’s excursion takes you out to the Barossa Valley, one of Australia’s premier wine producing regions. Visit the Barossa reservoir, take a behind the scenes tour and tasting at Richmond Grove Wines. Enjoy lunch before driving through the Adelaide Hills to Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest German settlement, with arts and crafts and traditional bakers evoking smells of Bavaria. (L)
Day 3 - ADELAIDE - THE GHAN
Enjoy a morning at leisure before your private transfer to the station for the lunchtime departure of The Ghan. Journey through the northern suburbs of Adelaide and through the wheat belt of South Australia’s mid North and pass the southern Flinders ranges. Relax in the Outback Explorer lounge and enjoy lunch and dinner in the elegant Queen Adelaide restaurant. (L, D)

Day 4 - THE GHAN - ALICE SPRINGS
Wake up to the wonders of the red centre as your journey continues towards Alice Springs, your breakfast and lunch is served in the Queen Adelaide restaurant. On arrival you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. (B, L)

Day 5 - ALICE SPRINGS - AYERS ROCK
Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Visit a camel farm for an optional camel ride and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon tour the base of Uluru and enjoy nibbles and a glass of wine while watching the sunset.

Day 6 - ULURU (AYERS ROCK) - KINGS CANYON
Rise early this morning to travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku. Watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight. After watching the sunrise travel to the 36 domes of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). Walk in Walpa Gorge and explore the unusual rock formations before continuing to Kings Canyon this afternoon.

Day 7 - KINGS CANYON - ALICE SPRINGS
This morning join a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park (requires a good level of fitness and sturdy shoes). An easier walk along the boulder - strewn canyon floor is also available. Return to Alice Springs later today.

Day 8 - ALICE SPRINGS - DEPARTURE
A private transfer will take you to the airport for your onward journey.
