This is a holiday not to miss doing a grand tour of the best parts of Europe by the iconic Venice Simplon Orient Express train and a 7 night Luxury Cruise. Your holiday starts off with sumptuous luxury and service, with a hint of the decadent 20’s and 30’s. A short break in the romantic city of Venice, before your holiday continues in similar Luxury on the famous Cunard Cruise Line. This is an itinerary that you can extend to make your own “Grand tour of Europe” with further stopovers in Paris and Rome.
Day 1: Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Eurostar ex London
Start your adventure by taking the Eurostar Train form St Pancras to Paris in Premium Class
Day 2: Venice Simplon-Orient- Express
After arriving in Paris, board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train. Enjoy a delicious four-course dinner, prepared by our skilled French chefs. After dinner retire to your cabin, which has now been transformed into a cosy bedroom.
Day 3: Venice
You awake to the magnificent mountain and countryside scenery as breakfast is served in your cabin at a time to suit you. Spend the morning relaxing in your cabin or in the Bar Car chatting to fellow guests. Enjoy a leisurely three-course lunch which is served in another one of the beautiful restaurant cars. While away the afternoon admiring the passing scenery. Later, afternoon tea is served in your cabin. All too soon it is time to prepare to disembark as the train crosses the Venetian Lagoon and pulls into Santa Lucia station. From here you will be transferred to your hotel for your nights stay in Venice.
Day 4: Venice
Enjoy a day at leisure and explore the history of this romantic city of Venice.

Day 6: Board the Cunard Queen Victoria
After your breakfast take the private transfer to Trieste to join the Queen Victoria for your 7 night cruise to Civitavecchia (Rome)
Day 7: Trieste
A little slice of eternal Italy that sits between Slovenia and the Adriatic Coast. Trieste is a charming destination which has been furnished decorously by grandeur and royalty through the centuries. Board early pm for evening departure.
Day 8: Zadar
Zadar is a historic place, with Roman ruins and medieval churches to explore. Meanwhile, the cosmopolitan cafés and restaurants are great places to relax and enjoy the town’s distinct ambience.
Day 9: Split, Croatia
A vast third-century compound, The Palace of Diocletianis is Split’s main attraction. Its fortress like complex houses an arched entrance court, temples, mausoleums, statues and even Egyptian Sphinxes.
Day 10: Day at Sea
Take advantage of the facilities on board Queen Victoria.
Day 11: Valetta, Malta
Sir Walter Scott famously declared Valletta “a city built by gentlemen for gentlemen”, and the superbly landscaped parks and palaces within its 16th century sandstone fortifications make it clear why.
Day 12: Day at Sea
Take advantage of the facilities on board Queen Victoria.
Day 13: Sorrento
Sorrento is a west-coast clifftop town in Italy’s Campania region, offering stunning views towards the Isle of Capri and along the coast to Mount Vesuvius, the only active volcano in mainland Europe.
Day 14: Civitavecchia
Sadly, it is time to disembark and take your transfer to Rome airport for flight back to the UK
